Tina Tanski was born in New York. As a child she was always drawn to creating. She was always carrying around a pencil and paper, even as a toddler. Any inspiration had to come to life and be created. Whether it was an idea, artwork, drawing or even fashion.

The inspiration and desire to create never dissipated and only grew, so as she became older she decided to pursue a career in creating. Tina enrolled herself in college for architecture and found herself on a journey. A journey that was not without its bumps. She found the precision of Architecture, the rigidity of measuring and rulers was stifling her spirit to create. She instead decided to follow her heart and pursue being an artist.

Tina draws much of her creative inspiration from her Chilean Heritage. Both as an illustrator and an artist, she is a self taught artist who has created in various mediums. She is never bound by just one medium to create. Tina has experience in so many wells of the art world. In her past she has been a tattoo artist, she has been a display artist for comic boutiques and even a custom toy/doll designer. Every experience has expanded the creative possibility of the next piece.

Tina’s artwork creates emotionally driven paintings that capture characters and atmosphere.

Her work explores still moments and emotional storytelling. Her paintings have exaggerated painterly textures using imaginative combinations of color that lend a timeless, dreamlike atmosphere to each piece.
